FranceWeather conditions20-10-2026Heavy rainfall associated with Storm Adam has triggered severe flooding across several departments in Southern France. The most impacted areas include:
Gard (30XXX), particularly around Nîmes, Vauvert, Gallargues and the Petite Camargue region
Hérault (34XXX), including Lunel and surrounding areas
Bouches-du-Rhône (13XXX), notably around Marseille
Var (83XXX)
Vaucluse (84XXX)

Several rivers have exceeded warning levels, including the Vidourle and Vistre, causing significant disruption to road networks and local infrastructure.
Motorway DisruptionsA9 Motorway (Lyon – Spain Corridor)The motorway was flooded between Nîmes (30XXX) and Gallargues / Aigues-Mortes (30XXX).
Traffic was suspended overnight in both directions due to severe flooding.
By late morning, traffic resumed on the Montpellier → Nîmes carriageway.
However, the Nîmes → Montpellier / Spain direction remained closed or heavily disrupted while emergency services and road operators carried out clean-up operations and safety inspections.
A7 & A8 MotorwaysSeveral areas around Marseille (13XXX) experienced flooding.
Certain motorway interchanges, access ramps and connecting roads were temporarily closed to traffic due to water accumulation and safety concerns.

Dozens of departmental roads remain closed, and multiple low-water crossings and flood-prone bridges have been declared unsafe and are currently inaccessible.
SpainWeather conditions20-10-2026Due to very heavy rains in the areas of South Valencia, North Alicante, and Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera), deliveries and pickups might get delayed because of closed roads or flooded areas.
