GLS Group strengthens European network
The international parcel logistics company expects 30 to 40 percent more volume in the autumn and Christmas season. In 2020, the GLS Group invests more than 150 million euros in the expansion of the European network.
New options for GLS-ONE
The shipping portal GLS-ONE makes sending parcels quick and easy. Since the corona pandemic, the demand for parcel shipping has increased significantly. With the addition of Bancontact and Payconiq, GLS Belgium now has five secure payment options for GLS-ONE.
GLS Group successfully recertified
The quality and environmental management system of the GLS Group has been recertified in Europe for another three years – in accordance with ISO 9001 and 14001. GDP certification has also been confirmed in five countries of the international parcel service provider, and a new GDP seal has been added for Spain.
GLS parcel depot in Tongeren started its activities.
The GLS parcel depot in Tongeren started its activities on 9 October. Together with the freight depot that was already started in February, the GLS site in Tongeren is now fully operational. GLS has invested a total of 12 million euros in its plant in Tongeren. With an increase in parcel and freight quantities, both depots can be expanded without any problems.
GLS launches international returns solution
With the new returns solution, GLS simplifies the cross-border processing of returns parcels for online shops of any size and their customers. Especially for this purpose GLS offers a flexible online portal that can be individually configured and branded.
New freight depot started in Tongeren
Last week, the new GLS freight terminal in Tongeren started up its activities. The highly efficient and environmentally friendly facility is the first GLS freight building in Belgium with the option of expansion. In total, GLS Belgium Distribution NV has invested 7 million euros in the new depot and its furnishing.
